ommy Schmitz, Founder & Co-President

Tommy is employed by Booz Allen Hamilton in Ballston, VA. and is a graduate of Georgetown University (’07) with a BA in American Studies. He has completed the annual Bike to the Beach century ride nine times.

Benjamin Dalley, Founder & Co-President

Benjamin is the proprietor of two restaurants and lounges in the Adams Morgan neighborhood in Washington, DC, Saki Asian Grill and District Restaurant and Lounge. In addition, Mr. Dalley is a part-time real estate and small business consultant in the Washington DC area. He is a graduate of Brown University (’03 BA, ’04 MA) and Georgetown Preparatory School (’99). He has completed the annual Bike to the Beach century ride ten times.

Joseph W. Schmitz ,Founder & Co-President

Joseph is employed by Coakley and Williams Construction as a Project Manager on commercial construction projects. Mr. Schmitz is a graduate of Boston College ('03) and Georgetown Preparatory School ('99). He has completed the annual Bike to the Beach century ride ten times.

Kevin H. Rapp, Founder & Director of Events

Kevin is a government relations professional in the Washington DC area. Mr. Rapp is a graduate of The University of South Carolina (’06) and Gonzaga College High School (’02). He has completed the annual Bike to the Beach century ride three times.

Robby Walsh, Executive Director

Robby is a teacher and coach in the Washington DC area. Mr. Walsh is a graduate of Lehigh University (’07) and Gonzaga College High School (’03). He has completed the annual Bike to the Beach century ride three times.

John Blomstrom, Director of Training & Logistics

John is employed by SAIC and supporting various DoD and other Federal Government initiatives. Mr. Blomstrom, a Southern California native, also rides as the Captain for the Esprit de Corps Cycling Team. He has completed the annual Bike to the Beach century ride three times.

Josh Posnick, Director of Development & Fundraising

Josh is a real estate professional in Washington, DC. Mr. Posnick is a graduate of The University of Delaware (’07) and The Bullis Preparatory School (’03). This is his third year participating in the execution of Bike to the Beach.

Christopher Copeland, Assistant Director of Logistics

Christopher is employed by VSE Corporation in Alexandria, VA. Mr. Copeland is a graduate of Vanderbilt University (’07) with a B.A. in Mathematics and a B.A. in Economics. This is his second year participating in the execution of Bike to the Beach.
